Fatherless 2
The most memorable character to me is John Sweeney. Because in every book there are always protagonists and antagonists, and John is neutral. Everyone comes to him for help and advice, in which he trys his best with. Then he has his own problems like, Church teachings and counseling families whose problems grow bigger and bigger. He doesn't really use his own advice, but he's great at giving them. The scene that most stands out is when John called his old coach Hal up. Hal gives him some very good advice including a book that changed Hal's perspective on life and death. Hal also tells him about how his wife and himself try to not remember the bad things about their son but the good things he did before he died in the army. They try to embrace his death, saying that he's not dead, he's just gone from our sight but how they can still feel his presence.
