Joint Project

I think the joint project was a success! We worked very hard and also met new friends from another school far away. Our friends also worked very diligently, so everything was handed in on time and accurate. The webcamming was the best part because instead of chatting them on a chat, we actually gotten the chance to see them and talk to them. Which can also help us for the future, if someone has a job and has to work with another company to sell their product, we wouldn't be as nervous because we already know what its going to be like.

Joint Project

The joint project, in my opinion, was a wonderful feat of modern technology. Students from two schools 100 and some odd miles away were able to connect with each other and do a project with each other. I liked the Google Docs part of it, but my favorite part was the videoconference part, even though that I must admit that the conversations we had were often awkward. During the course of the project, we found out that despite our differences, we had many things in common. All in all, I thought that this project was an enriching experience.

Joint Project

I think the joint project was a bittersweet occasion. It was nice to share our creativity and academic talents with another school. To use the updated technology for communication, and actually meet them. At the same time it had a little inconvenience not always having the communication, and not putting the project together in person. I felt that it was an creative, unique project put together by the teacher, and I commend you guys.

Joint Project

In my opinion the joint project was a great experience. Ive never had the chance to work with students from other schools on a project, i also had a lot of fun. i feel my group and our partner joey worked well together and both had equal dedication to the project, this was a good chance to meet new people also. i think it also could come in handy in the future. over-all i enjoyed the project

Joint project

I thought that the joint project was hard because of communication issues and not knowing the other person we were working with. It was a different and sort of interesting experience. It helped show how good people can work with complete strangers when trying to complete a task. It was definitely a learning experience. If i had to this kinda thing again i would try to improve communication with the other person.

Joint Project

i felt that the joint project was hard because of the communication problems my group was having and not being able to talk to them whenever. It was a new experience for me tho. This project could help me in the future if i have to work with someone over a long distance via the internet. Working on it using the internet and web cam was weird for me and slightly difficult due to computer issues and communication/availability of our partner. Over all it was a new experince for me and i enjoyed the learning process and use of our technology.

Joint project

When we first started the project I thought it was going to be difficult because me and the person in my group didn't know the person from the other school. When meeting someone new you don't know how to start a conversion you don't know what their favorite things to do or sports are. So the first time I talked to my partner I felt like i didn't know what to talk about, but the second time i knew a little bit more about what to tell him. As time went on I felt like the project was easier and i learned about a new school. It also helped me get better as a person in group projects.

Fatherless Choice 2

John Sweeney was the most memorable in the Fatherless to me. He was the Main character in the story, but was also like an victim in the story. He helped the other characters in the story with the best guidance. He also had his own problems in which at one point he couldn't find himself. However his advice directed people to the light, and they loved him for it. The scene that stuck out most to me is when John is having a hard time with himself. So John get's drunk, His good friend brings him home from the bar. He wakes up the next morning and is late for Mass. He get's there late and is troubled by the citizens making jokes about his hangover. After Mass he goes to the Rectory, and drops to his knees for God's guidance. This scene showed me that he was not afraid to turn to God in the matter of Conflict.

Fatherless Choice #2

The characters in Fatherless that stood out the most to me were Moia, Bill and Maggie Kealey. The reason I think this is because of all the pain and suffering that Moia put the Kealey family through and her eventual suicide which is a prominent problem in todays world. I actaually feel really bad for Moia, mainly because she was sexually abused and as it said in the book she was a "victim soul". Moia didn't choose for this to happen, she was just a victim of someone else's own selfishness. Her dignity as a human being was violated and that led her into a deep depression, which she could not control over, and eventually to her horrific suicide. Also, in a way I feel even worse for Bill and Maggie Kealey. They tried their hardest to try and find out what was wrong with their child. It drove the family crazy for years, riping their family apart one day at a time. Then after all of that they are left with the great pain of the suicide of Moia. Suicide just doesn't effect the person who commits it, it effects all of those who loved them. On top of all this, Bill Kealey will leave his wife, Maggie, soon after Moia's funeral. He was having a affair with his secretary and will be moving in with her.I was really disappointed with Bill, how could he leave his family, he promises to support them but it won't be the same. The Kealey family has been though enough and I see Bill's leaving as a major truing point for the downfall of the family.

fatherless Choice 2

The character that stands out most to me is moia, bill and maggie kealys daughter, she stands out to me because they always said how bill and maggie had a hard time with her, and because they would always go to john sweeny for help and see what he said was the reason for moia's behavier. one of the moments that stood out to me in moia's character is when her sister grace did anything to talk to her. but whatever grace did moia would still ignore her, grace would bring up her meals she would get books moia liked, but moia would not give in. Moia is a very sad and depressing character in the story fatherless, But you find out that she is always depressed because moia was abused by a priest when she was younger.
the most outstanding person to me is moia. she is very depressed arround her family. when ever we herd of he in the book, she was always locked up in her room. all of this was because she was abused by a priest that had passed.

Fatherless 2

The most memorable character to me is John Sweeney. Because in every book there are always protagonists and antagonists, and John is neutral. Everyone comes to him for help and advice, in which he trys his best with. Then he has his own problems like, Church teachings and counseling families whose problems grow bigger and bigger. He doesn't really use his own advice, but he's great at giving them. The scene that most stands out is when John called his old coach Hal up. Hal gives him some very good advice including a book that changed Hal's perspective on life and death. Hal also tells him about how his wife and himself try to not remember the bad things about their son but the good things he did before he died in the army. They try to embrace his death, saying that he's not dead, he's just gone from our sight but how they can still feel his presence.

Fatherless

My stand out character is Moia Kealey. She is a very upset person, when her family and close friends try to help her she just keeps herself bottled in. We may have seen a part of reason into her behavior when we are told that a old priest may have abused young Moia. This character because she has had a very rough life and she is very complicated.
